So far I have seen many posts about gas prices. They are high and it sucks. In Mississippi they aren't even letting you fill up your car with more than 10 gallons. I guess that is a good thing and a bad thing. My brother made it back down to Biloxi this morning to see just how bad it is. I haven't heard any thing from him. We are all hoping that our childhood house did not sustain to much damage. As far as we know we were very lucky. One of my best friends lost everything, I think we just had some wind damage and stuff. I know a tree fell over our fence but I don't think it hit the house. A few of my friends have yet to make contact with me, so I am a little worried about them. I just know that they are to stubborn to leave the area.
I am planning on going to Biloxi in the next few weeks to help clean up and start rebuilding. It is going to be a task that will take months and even years. I fear my hometown will never be the same. I know New Orleans wont be. I think we all need to kiss good-bye to Mardi Gras for at least this year. I just hope the best for the people in the south. A storm is brewing off the cost nothing big but at least 2 inches of rain.
